The first email!

Hey there! Believe it or not, I survived my first 24 hours at the MTC and so far its been incredible. The collective spirit and common goal here is awesome. My first companion is Elder Fjeldsted from Minnesota, and we get along just dandily. This email is just a quick little message to let you know that I am well and loving it here, so I'll type as much as I can before they make us leave, but my P-days are on Tuesday, so my first real emails will be coming then! I miss you guys a ton (I haven't cried as of yet, but I'll keep you updated because that will probably change eventually) and I already can't wait to see you guys again, but at the same time I already feel like I'm at home here and it feels like I've been here forever. I've heard it goes way slow for the first 4 days and then It'll blow by, so I'm making the most of the time I have before it's gone. Thai is really hard so far, but nothing that a little practice can't take care of. We learned how to pray today, and its really cool. Tomorrow we are going to teach an "investigator" named Phii Cee (PJ) and it is supposed to be completely in Thai, so I'm really nervous for that, but I'm sure we will be fine. We have to go back to our devotional, but I'll email you more on Tuesday!
